A ship(p) to come

There are some indestructible tunes. They never dissapear really from your mind and reappear in unexpected moments. Some of them reappear regularly like some reminders. One of these reminders is for me a verse of Nana Mouskouris song Children Of Pyreus And this verse has no more to do with the real content of the song, the ship will come (not to bring me the beloved person) but as a sign of hope that could appear even in some trivial situation, a car breakdown for instance.
In this case it reminded me of Matthew Shipp, great pianist, I'm listening a lot these days, especially the New Orbit album.
Anyway, I appreciate a lot the innovative work of the Thirsty Ear Label.
You can find there David S Ware, Tim Berne, William Parker and other great artists.
