The only weapon Elias has in his hands is this camera to document the crazed gunboys beginning to shot everyone crossing their way. We don't see if he's shot too, but it's nearly sure, even if the eyes of the murderer are hesitating between satisfaction ("Now we are heroes for reel!") and anger ("What does he do, stupid!").
